Finalists Named for New Zealand CIO Awards

Auckland, 25 July 2024 – Tonight IDC and Brightstar proudly announced this year’s finalists in the CIO Awards which recognise individuals, teams and community groups who have shown leadership in their contribution to the lift technology into the spotlight. 

The winners will be announced at the CIO Awards Gala Dinner on 20th August 2024 at Spark Arena in Auckland. The event promises to be an evening of prestige, recognition, and inspiration, supported by 2 Degrees, ClearPoint, Juniper Networks, and Sharp. 

Finalists were selected from entries submitted across five categories, for this year's awards, by an independent judging panel representing a cross section of New Zealand’s ICT and business community, from former CIO of the Year winners to leaders in Aotearoa's digital economy. This week and next those finalists will take part in interviews with the judges for their category, culminating in a celebration of their selection at the CIO Awards Finalist evening in Auckland tonight.  

IDC New Zealand Country Manager, and awards judge, Louise Francis extended her congratulations to all the finalists, saying, “In a year where New Zealand businesses are facing extraordinary challenges and headwinds, this year's finalists are a reminder of how innovative Aotearoa's organisations are when faced with adversity. These awards continue to shine the spotlight on how quickly New Zealand organizations are evolving and leading the way through digital innovation. New Zealand CIO of the Year

‘New Zealand CIO of the Year’, for how they have positioned the role of CIO strategically within the company and for demonstrating innovation and success in the past 12 months and into the future that and showing how it fits with the company's overall business strategy.
